What is Striploin steak?
The striploin is a super tender piece of meat, also known as New York strip or sirloin (in some countries), and is a cut of beef from the short loin of a cow. It is a relatively lean cut of meat with a good amount of marbling, which gives it a rich, beefy flavour. The striploin is a popular choice for steak lovers because it is both tender and flavorful and pairs well with absolutely anything you could crave.

Where does Striploin steak come from?
Striploin steak originates from the sirloin primal cut or the short loin, located on the back of the cow, specifically between the fore ribs (front) and the rump (behind). This area sees more movement than others, resulting in leaner muscles with less marbling (fat) compared to, say, a ribeye.

White wine may not be the usual pairing, but it is still delightful Spanish Rioja's fruitiness and acidity create a balanced and interesting pairing, while a Zinfandel offers peppery spice and bright fruit notes.If you prefer beer, the Birra Moretti is the perfect pairing, light and delicate to pair with the tender Striploin steak.
